چکیده

The logic of single-conclusion (functional) proofs (FLP) is introduced. It combines the veri$cation property of proofs with the single valuedness of proof predicate and describes the operations on proofs induced by modus ponens rule and proof checking. It is proved that FLP is decidable, sound and complete with respect to arithmetical proof interpretations based on single-valued proof predicates. The application to arithmetical inference rules speci$cation and PA-admissibility testing is considered. We show that the provability in FLP gives the complete admissibility test for the rules which can be speci$ed by schemes in FLP-language. The test is supplied with the ground proof extraction algorithm which eliminates the admissible rules from a PA-proof by utilizing the information from the corresponding FLP-proofs. c © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. A formal framework for specifying sequent calculus proof systems

Intuitionistic logic and intuitionistic type systems are commonly used as frameworks for the specification of natural deduction proof systems. In this paper we show how to use classical linear logic as a logical framework to specify sequent calculus proof systems and to establish some simple consequences of the specified sequent calculus proof systems. In particular, derivability of an inferenc...

Proof Manipulations for Logic Programming Proof Systems

Logic programs consist of formulas of mathematical logic and various proof-theoretic techniques can be used to design and analyse execution models for such programs. In this paper we present some initial work on the problem of making systematic the design of logic programming languages. In particular, we identify and discuss several key properties of proofs. A important aspect of this examinati...

A Proof Search Specification of the π - Calculus DRAFT : April 19 , 2004

We present a meta-logic that contains a new quantifier ∇ (for encoding “generic judgments”) and inference rules for reasoning within fixed points of a given specification. We then specify the operational semantics and bisimulation relations for the finite π-calculus within this meta-logic. Since we restrict to the finite case, the ability of the meta-logic to reason within fixed points becomes ...

On the Specification of Sequent Systems

Recently, linear Logic has been used to specify sequent calculus proof systems in such a way that the proof search in linear logic can yield proof search in the specified logic. Furthermore, the meta-theory of linear logic can be used to draw conclusions about the specified sequent calculus. For example, derivability of one proof system from another can be decided by a simple procedure that is ...
